An ideal course for all those working in the NGO, development and relief sectors who wish to impact and engage with politicians in the European Union.

The European Parliament is filled with opportunities to raise issues and have the debate taken to a European level. However, to use these possibilities one needs to truly understand how the European politicians work - and how to work with them.

While, many today know about EU policies and the European Institutions on a general level few people actually really know and remember the details, and as they say: the devil is in the detail.

This is why we have set up the #EPBootCamp: To bridge the gap between the theoretical and superficial knowledge and what is actually required of those who need to work with the European Parliament.

Taught by people with years of experience working in the Parliament, the boot camp focuses on those aspects that simply cannot be learned from reading a book.

During the #EPBootCamp we will discuss:

  • How is the European Parliament organised;

  • The political groups – who are they? Who do they ally with?

  • Who are the key players in the European Parliament at the different stages of the legislative process?

  • Which titles seem important but have little influence in reality– and who are the MEPs with power and insight?

  • Understanding how an MEP’s office works and how important the staff can be;

  • Ways to have issues included in EU-policy

  • And much, much more ...

Date: The next #EPBootCamp will take place on Friday, February 26, from 09:30 – 17:30. There are also course in March, April, May and June

Fee:€800 (ex. VAT), Early bird (before February 1st) €700 (ex. VAT). Group discounts at five or more participants. The price for the #EPBootCamp includes lunch, refreshments and materials. For more information and to sign up please email us or call us
